Made another custom scanlines.

Get that effect.

scanline_alpha 0.6

scanline_bright_scale 1.6

Anyway the settings is on my page below. There is no RGB showing at all. Clean black and white only.

This will help beginners out. Look for the mame-ini-and-mess-ini link.

I find HLSL does fine on horizontal games, scaling properly to each game resolution. I guess those who want to avoid the raster bloom element would want to mess with this.

It's vertical games that I use pngs for, mainly 224x256. I use 800x600 and 'scanlines' (rotated, for the horizontal effect) for 224x288. Resolutions above the latter I haven't bothered with.

Edit: Leaving a thick dark gray bars with a little white line. Weird huh? Maybe an error? Whole thing need to be move with the game screen.

Left no defocus. Right is the defocus turn on.

I rather have blur than defocus.

The screen is in the correct place now. Turn the HLSL on and off to see what I'm talking about. See Centipede for example. The letters at the bottom is in the correct spot.

Seem that the HLSL move around ton of games. You just gotta do some twinking on the settings get those back in place.

Ohh, HLSL probably negates the use of pngs. Just like in the old days where D3D would supercede DD, of both were selected - except switchres would still work if selected....

I think the colors images gotta go. Programing the colors is way better. Shouldn't be hard to do. Color by pixel.

As for defocus. Move things is what it does. But will not move the scan lines with those. Screen doesn't stay the same. Shrink, move or what ever. hlsl_prescale is the only thing that is good while defocus is bad.
