Hey, What's blitter delay and what is it good for? Couldn't find any doc about this option.

I presume he is referring to the newly installed cv1k.c driver in MAME. There is a game configuration option for those games involving blitter delay. The options states "unsafe" and "requires restart" after setting - but I don't know why it is there or its visible benefits.

Haven't checked it yet, but I've read about it on the shmups forums, so yes, it has to do with(only?) he cave1k driver.

My guess is it controls whether the blitter is emulated instantly or whether it guesses how long each blit takes. It's a hack, whichever way you set it the timing will be wrong.
