Bingo. I have many male/female 20x2 pin connectors on hand. Seemed the easy choice, being a cheap ass 'n all. Soldering any type of decent wire size to encoder board isn't a good idea, and ribbon gauge seems just bout the limit. This is a nice translation medium, and provides a disconnect. ipac = $40. this = $3.
