Maxforce mission 1 gameplay does not advance

Maxforce mission 1 does not proceed. Mission 2 works fine. But for some reason, mission 1 does not advance... once mission 1 starts, it just stays there.

What version of MAME and what do you mean?

He means if you load maxforce and pick Mission 1 then you get a frozen screen that doesn't advance.
[EDIT] Actually it looks like then it slows to 1 FPS while MAME shows it's running at 100%

There was a bug on mametesters.org already for that and a fix for it was committed to SVN on the 22nd of January and the bug was marked as resolved.

I wouldn't expect someone to try reporting the same issue again, so I can only assume it's something different. Which with the vague bug report it could be anything.

I was reproducing his issue with 0.152, but I haven't tried with a SVN compile as of yet.

How can you know whether you're reproducing the issue of "mission 1 does not proceed". It could mean that it locks up at the end.

This definitely seems like or similar to the exact issue that was corrected and resolved in that bug report that you linked.
There's no need for another report submission at this time and will try it again with 0.153 is released.
[EDIT] curiosity got the best of me so I compiled SVN r27657 and can confirm the issue being fixed.

Thanks you two. (And yeah, B2K understood me. It was hard for me to describe it precisely because it technically didn't freeze, it just gets stuck in a rut.)
