I didn't know that was separately listed. I should have looked at completed section.
>Anyhow, System16.com doesn't even cover PSE, gregf...
Yep. I threw the comment in there if someone was asking if there were any photos of PSE's KIA and you certainly found a couple from the auction listing that I had overlooked.

Should add Ringedge 2 to Sega hardware
Some corrections/updates...
Cyber Diver should be added to TypeX2
Mobile Suit Gundam: Spirits of Zeon should be added to TypeX+ (there are 2 versions of this game)
Otomedius should be added to Konami PC
Stunt Typhoon is still under Scorpion....should be under Type Zero
Ultra Street Fighter IV should be added to TypeX3
Valve Limit R should be added to TypeX
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is not a Ringedge game, it is on Lindbergh Silver, equivalent of Yellow

Why no Raw Thrills and Global VR Games? Probably because these companies made up of PC-based games?

Mostly, he just sticks to the major historic players. Hell, when the site first started it was pretty much just Sega games.

Indeed. The site was primarily born out of my love for the old unique hardware that arcade games used and the constant bleeding edge development that went along with it, nowadays most/all games are PC based using 5 year old PC technology or even worse 5 year old PC/Console games ported to arcade cabinets. Also, you have to bear in mind that it's just me doing the site and there's only so much time I have, I'm already acutely aware that I spread myself too thin, so adding extra sections that I'm not too fussed about would be self defeating and doom them to never be updated, I've even toyed with a year cap to not go beyond.
That being said, if someone emailed me with a hardware description, PCB pictures, title/ingame screenshots and cabinets preferably formatted to the correct size and background, then they'd drop straight into the site and I'm 99% sure I'd add them. If I have to hunt down anything and research it, I'd rather spend that time finding missing data from some of the main sections "unknown" pages.

It might be a good idea to write that in the news section on the site.

It might be a good idea for people not to have unrealistic expectations of a site made by one man, but we can't always get what we want.

I don't see why we should turn down his offer. I didn't say anything about expectations. If he'll copy paste in updates from people like gregf then let him do it.

Oh, I didn't mean you had unrealistic expectations, I was just referring to the post several steps up the thread. But yeah, if someone's willing to whip up their own page such that it can drop right into System 16, I don't see why Six should turn down an offer like that.

Aye, and I wouldn't, as I've said before the thing that takes ages is research and tracking down decent pictures, if they're handed to me on a plate then

So Sixtoe has gone and added the photo already (a "soft" unannounced update) and also transcribed the instructions from the instruction card.
And based off the old description from Lyle Rains, and the instructions, Sixtoe determined that it is, in fact:
A video arcade version of the board game Crossfire.
(The original board game version Sixtoe has pictured at System16.com predates the 90's version, of course. I just know this commercial better.)
Trivia: this probably makes it the first ever board game-to-video arcade adaptation. My guess is that it was unlicensed, though.
Why I never made the connection, I'll never know.

Hooray Sixtoe. Now it makes sense.

I agree after looking at the cover on the box in that entry.

I will say you are correct, but I would still like to know when the kids game was originally released. Another sleuthing adventure just to really get this all figured out to see who was copying who. It probably was Atari/Kee Games from the kids game.
I wonder if it was because of the potential having to "license" issue, or players didn't like the game play and it was canned quickly.
I wonder if Keith might be able to get more answers about this at a later time from Lyle or another former Atari staff 1970s era employee.

Okay. I wonder if Keith will be able to get any more interesting behind-the-scenes info about the reason behind Crossfire sort of disappearing such as who made the decisions to get rid of the game so it wasn't fully marketed with flyers etc.
