Wow, that's a bit of a surprise.
Pretty underwhelming overall but stereo sound is a much welcomed fix.
I'd still rather MAME emulated model 2 better. Sega Rally for example runs rather well aside from the obvious gfx issues.

AFAIK Elsemi is under contract or something but will share info under the right conditions.
Like, say, if you're a tall brunette who likes classical music, black labradors and long walks on the beach.

I was hoping that the Original Dynamite Baseball will added to Model 2 emulator someday since I only see Dynamite Baseball 97 in this release. The original DB game was dumped and added to MAME a while back. I'm wondering if the original Dynamite Baseball game will be added to Model 2 emulator sometimes in the near future.

Well, not openly. It's been said several times here that ElSemi has offered the code to any MAME dev that will make a concerted effort to implement it in MAME. No one has seemingly taken him up on said offer.
That being said, ElSemi was seemingly willing to share whatever info he has with those interested which led to some small improvements if I remember correctly.

Don't take that as a dig on El Semi. I'm just a bit saddened to see his projects die off. I would love to improve his cps3 xbox port, see under the hood of nebula, and I'm sure tons of developers, hackers, etc would love to poke around the model 2 emulator's internals.
Hell, I wouldn't mind maintaining his projects. I'd make time for that.
*edit* would->wouldn't. Funny how much that changes the meaning.

In this case, "new" would mean "ElSemi's begun development again" which would get fanboy hopes up again that the project was continuing, this bug or that bug would be fixed, etcetera.
Development has not continued, but instead old but never-before-seen builds have been uploaded, so that meaning of the word "new" is not valid. The most he may have done was compile the code.
"new" as "never-before-seen" is valid. They're just not new.
Now if development was starting again, that would be news.

I'd probably focus my effort more on taking him up on his offer to help MAME emulation improve. Quite a big task I guess though.
