Aimtrak in game calibration

Hello, I got my Aimtrak module up and running in my lightgun and calibrated it. It works perfect on my computer in windows as a mouse. The problem is when I load a pc game, the calibration goes out when I move the crosshairs off screen. I have to move the gun offscreen in the other direction to readjust and correct it. I'm not sure if its a screen resolution or a gun setting problem. In the game, I have the gun setting to "mouse". Thanks in advance!

I tried using Troubleshooter with the Keyboard (instead of mouse or lightgun) selected in the game's controller config and it seems to be working perfect! I'm still confused as to why it would work in windows as a mouse without problems but not in the game.
