When you're near the bridge, press 1 to use a Top Secret, and then the bridge will repair itself, and you can keep on driving.

Seriously, the arcade cabinet has eight buttons and one of them is labelled "Top Secret" - that's the one you use to repair the bridge. Are you a gamer or a friggin crybaby? You keep asking people how to get past the first real obstacle in games. Learn to play FFS.
