Virtua Racing - Display miles per hour

Is there anyway to make the game display your speed as miles per hour instead of kilometers per hour? I don't see the setting any where in the service menu. I changed the country setting from export to US but it didn't seem alter the game at all.

After looking in the manual, I personally don't see any option for it. I also looked at several screenshots of the arcade version and they all have the KPH except the Sega Saturn version which MPH is displayed.

I’m convinced Mario is a hobo.
He wakes up everyday in the same clothes, runs around in sewers, and collects coins for a living.
At the end of the day, he uses the coins to buy mushrooms

WTF is "KPH" supposed to be? km/hr or km/h!!! K as a unit is Kelvin!

Thanks for the reply. Maybe it's the Saturn version I am remembering with the miles per hour display.
