Wish the guy had some proper camera training:

for landscape-filming purposes you take about 50% land 50% sky, but when the Apocalypse is going down, and nothing happens in the sky: CUT OFF the sky. so much natural violence got lost because this guy likes a purposeless horizon in his shots. To my feeling he misses every impact moment in the situation.

still pretty cool to watch though.

(PS: Is it a bad thing that that's the only thing my mind comes up with?)

Wut?

I sure I hope to remember proper camera technique when I'm staring death in the face, you know...to be considerate of everyone else that might find the footage of me scrambling to survive.

You missed the part about my wondering of my brain malfunctioning...

When a tsunami is approaching, do you:
A) stand near sea level watching the approaching water in amazement
B) not A

This video taught me that B is the correct answer.

I think it's a matter of not being able to comprehend the scale of what's approaching. I can kind of understand how people would imagine the worst case scenario being some moderate flooding, not "everything in sight washed away".

You've just been hit by a 7.1, and all the water has drained from your seaway. Anyone not shiating bricks at that moment needs to have their head checked...
