Hello There,
There hasn't been an update for mame 0.149 (http://www.blurbusters.com/software-based-black-frame-insertion-improves-motion-clarity-in-mame/) so I took the liberty to compile a new binary for 64bit only.
Diff to follow.

Thanks! You might want to edit your post to mention more detail since all 120Hz monitors benefit, not just LightBoost, and not everyone knows what strobe is for.
-- Strobe is software-based black frame insertion, to reduce motion blur.
-- This is the version of MAME that benefits 120Hz monitors with motion blur reduction by black frame insertion.
-- It especially benefits LightBoost monitors.
-- It also benefits arcade CRT's, by being able to do 240p 120Hz on a 31.5Khz CRT.

I'd like to implement this in my build, MAMEUIFX. Though I'd like to know if there's a way to apply the feature also for 60HZ LCD? They suffer of the same problem when there's a lot of scrolling/action....

Is it normal for the MAME UI (menus, copyright and emulation info screens) to flash constantly? This stops as soon as a game starts. I have an older AMD video card.
Is there a good example game to see the before and after effects of this mod? I tried jleague and the scrolling "THE J.LEAGUE 1994" text during attract mode is much smoother.
