Can't alt-tab with HLSL in Mame 149 and 149 U1

In Mame 148 I could alt-tab back to the desktop but in Mame 149 I can't it just shows a black screen and you can hear the music etc in the background. Anyway to fix this? I can confirm others are having the same problem see here.

You can enable/disable HLSL in real time while something is running by doing ALT+CTRL+F5

Sadly ALT+TAB still doesn't work unless HLSL is set to 0

I don't personally need the ALT+TAB functionality for my needs, but many others I understand need it in the HS community.

The report has been confirmed and hopefully a fix can be figured out soon
