The hardware does not seem to be that hard to EMU
But the real use of having it in mame in to test out the clams of it being 100% skill
save states can help alot with testing that.

Perhaps not.. but since such items are still in heavy production and in use it would likely not be a MAME target for some time.

Get the software dumped from one and someone might take a look.
It probably is 100% skill, however that doesn't mean they don't make it impossible to win.

It's not just about turning people off the game, it's down to legal reasons aswell.

Yeah, and if I put a Haswell i7 in a cabinet running VVVVVV people would think it wouldn't be hard to emulate either.
You cannot judge ease of emulation on superficial appearances or even graphics/sound quality.

But they seem alot like pinball hardware with out the DMD. No graphics At all just lights and an sound board for the stacker games.

Yeah, but how do you know what it actually has controlling the lights? It could be a PC with a PCI GPIO board for all you know.

Atmel AT89C55 MCU for main (MCS-51 compatible) and Z80 on the sound board
As for the question if it's 100% skill: of course it is a gambling game, it needs to make a profit after all. Even the manual explains the winning margins, so it's not dishonest about it either.
