Thanks for your efforts!
I have got 2 questions/requests:
1) when I select from the GUI a "Mamescore File" the explorer proposes a file "story.dat", instead of "hiscore.dat". Is that correct?
2) is it possible to return a "source" field in "Customize Fields"? I really like to sort my roms by hardware/source/driver. It was a good feature in the past.

1) STORY.DAT is correct, because it's this file:
http://www.arcadehits.net/mamescore/home.php?show=files
which will be displayed in the HISTORY section. It's not absolutely related with the HISCORE.DAT file. You have to put unzipped into the \DATS\ folder.
2) Good idea. Sincerely I don't recall now why it was removed........

I think it was removed to speed up GUI load time. It would be best to use that Perl script to generate a folders\sources ini file.

Yes, I have that PERL script. Though I have SOURCE folder hardcoded in the source in MAMEUIFX and it's not absolutely a slowdown cause, expecially that now we have the ultra-fast cached startup. CPU, SOUND folders instead still make the startup really slow, +4 seconds each.

Well I guess I misread the original post about sorting the source. I thought it was removed from the tree view, but it wasn't. He wants to be able to sort the list by source, not just filter. Probably wouldn't be hard to do.

I think he wants a "SOURCE" column in the Details View List to be able to sort games by driver. But AFAIK this should be already in MAMEUI and I don't recall why I removed it from my build....
