In the Zinc emulator, the moon shows fine. You have to use the Opengl2 version 2.9 (yes, the Epsxe plugin, you must rename to renderer.znc) plugin and the moon shows ok. Also, this plugin fixes others bugs like the battle transissions in Dead or Alive + , or the motion blur in Excel mode in Street Fighter EX 2 plus.
Ah! When you change the video plugin to opengl2, you MUST use epsxe to change the configuration. Those settings are stored in the registry.

as you can see, next release will make the effect work without any plugin in MAME, making the procedure moot, unless you have very old and underpowered hardware

Congratulations smf, the controversy has been averted and we can see more cool stuff in the intro. I remember this when I played with my PSX version back in the day and that moon was actually seen in the actual PCB.

Cool!!! Thanks. Although nobody seems to like this game, I played it a lot at the time, this and Soul Edge were my favorites for sometime.

You have no idea how potentially destructive that hack is to your computer, but I gather you'd prefer to not find out

ZiNc comes with it's own plugins, so what you are saying is that the moon shows fine if you change ZiNc.
I wasn't aware that any of the psemupro style plugins were really compatible with ZiNc, back in the day ImpactEmu only worked on the games that used 1mb of video ram as that is all the plugins supported (which iirc was only sfex). Most of the arcade games came with 2mb of video ram.

I'm more suprised people are still using zinc, to be honest.
