We got Taisen Hot Gimmick Mix Party.
Also Ordyne dumped Daytona USA Special Edition, Kevin Eshbach dumped Arcadia's Magic Johnsons Fast Break v2.7, cmonkey dumped an alt version of Hang-On though I'm not sure if it's complete yet, Any did some work on 20 or so clones and maybe some other stuff I forgot.

I'll pointlessly rephrase. It's not open source so "we" can't add games to it unless someone hacks the binary, and it's dead short of El Semi returning to the emu scene.

Someone need to find him or even by email and ask him about model 2.

I hope that's a joke.
The rom allocations are in a string table similar to how mame does it in M2. It would probably be possible to hack it in via a hex editor, at the expense of one of the Daytona clones of course.
(Also it's not dead, merely on life support, I've been slowly but surely fixing issues via memory injection.)

Psikyo got always on the bullet hell shooters rather than a dating sim game. Gunbird and Strikers are my favorite Psikyo game of all time.

Most of the Daytona hacks (e.g. To The Maxx) added their own protection so just loading the ROMs may not be sufficient.

It was cheap. With the weird rumors I've heard about the hard drives I wanted my first dump to be the cheapest game I could find on the system and also undumped so this was perfect. But, I still would have passed if I would have known you had it. The Type X dump situation is a total mess.

And FWIW, I agree, the dumping status of the Type-X games is a total clusterfuck - hence why I haven't bothered trying.

Whats wierd about the hard disks? The one in that picture looks like a bog standard Western Digital 40GB IDE drive to me...
Unless they are doing what Microsoft did in the first XBOX and using the disk lock feature of the IDE specification or something.

The hard drives they stocked for games on the system were 40 GB but that doesn't mean the chd for the game will be that. It will probably be more like 2.

Were not gonna be converted to CHD, because it's three words: Taito Type X meaning it's a PC Hardware that can be played by opening a .exe file.

He's right, but not means they can incorporate the .exe file inside of the CHD File and load it as CHD on MAME.
(CHD File Compressed will help me a lot to clean more GB on my Disk)
I got here 25 Games of Taito Type X and X2 and all they run as .exe file.

Mame dumps WILL be CHD. You could use the exe for hyperspin but that's your own worry.
