Problem with Blitz2K driver and pressing L

I'm running Mame64 .148 for Windows and after running blitz2k I've found that pressing L on the keyboard causes most of the UI and geometry to disappear.
This is a problem on my arcade cab since the default UP for controller 4 is mapped to L.
Is this a bug with the driver, or is this an intended feature of Mame that I can unbind?

Strange bug that seems to affect all of the different Blitz games. I can reproduce it here on 0.148u1
For all the blitz games after loading them press TAB and choose input (this game) and remap the problem keys to something else, or wait for a fix.
