I have never played WOW because I think it looks like crap and so many better games/emulation exist that are not PPM. Anyway, impressive (I guess)someone had the patience to create a 1-90 video.
WoW is actually alot of fun if you give it a shot. You can play for free as long as you want, but with a level cap of 20 and various restrictions. I've played since March 2006.

That might well be the only way I'd play it, for more than one reason.
I don't pay fees for games.
Most of your time is spent grinding to get the next level or a bit of rare but essentially worthless gear.
When you top out at 20, the exp grind is gone. I suppose, if there's still something to do at that point without paying, you could keep going.
But then, I'm busy trying to create an aura node nearer my island, and dock with a space station orbiting at about 95km, so I don't need another game.
It would have appealed to me from the late 80s into about 1990 / Ultima VI when I went through my RPG phase. Since then they haven't kept my attention. Not even the beloved Ocarina of Time. I bought it and just dropped it quickly. At least a friend of mine was able to get good playtime out of my cart.
I started playing before the Burning Crusade came out.
I quit after playing a while on the Cataclysm. I'm not going to pay to play anymore on this game. Wasted ton of cash playing this game. I can tell you this. So many years playing is going to bored you to death because of the dailies and the same old thing over and over again.
