Nope, never had one. I had a PS1 (my wife's, technically), but never saw a compelling reason to get the new one. Didn't get another console until the Wii a few years ago, again mostly because my wife wanted it.

Owned a PS1 to play ReBoot the game on it, but that was it.
Wii might be the last console I have bought.

Never had one. First playstation I bought was PS3, but still haven't played a game on it. Blurays and Amazon Prime are nice though.

I've gone through 4 of them, all failed for various reasons.

I used a PS3 whilst testing it, was only interested in the blu-ray player, but otherwise didn't like using it over my 360

That might have been the case for me as well, but I have kids now. They're 7 months old, so I imagine they'll just be old enough for a Wii U right at the end of its life cycle, or more likely they'll want whatever comes next.
