Filtering bios files from gamelist

hi,
i am using mame 0.147.u4 official build.
i would like to know how can i filter/disable bios files from showing up on gamelist.
as you know mame is using many bios files and they are making a mess while selecting a game.
i don't prefer using frontends because they are working slow for me.

Can't help you on that but I was wondering,
how do you even play a game if a front end slows your system down too much? What kind of system are you running?
