I never understood the unboxing video as a genre. Just lay out all the stuff that comes in the box and take a picture, or point out and describe each piece if you must make a video. Why do I want to sit here and watch you struggle with packaging?
The NEOGEO X itself seems pretty cool. I like the idea of a handheld with a docking station. At $200, though, it seems a little spendy for a retro system with a library of 20 games.

Screen is blurry on the TV as reported.
Sounds have issues as reported.
Some others reported as well.
Not worth $200 as reported.

It's also running emulation with Final Burn Alpha under Linux, and there's a load of other emulators in there once you hack past the in built security, including a Playstation BIOS..Derp.
Lol.
Wonder if they had permission to use FBA.?

Nope they didn't have the permission to do that. SNK may get this off the market soon as they find out. I don't think there will be any new games for this anyway. People will be piss soon these be removed from the market. There is a reason it is called limited. 
Still can be sold on eBay though for a lot more money.

It's definitely about people living vicariously through the video. "Oh what if I could afford this thing, I can just imagine removing it from its packaging"... with maybe a bit of technological fetishism going on.
That said, I'm not a fan either. Waste of time...

Their target audience seems to be NG collectors who have to have everything NG and the uninformed. You could just get a used PSP and get the whole library for free and they want to milk each game separately... I have a cracked PSP where I haven't even bothered loading them on because every once in a while in mame is enough. They aren't that freaking great of games. Maybe a few of them. You could get a supergun and 161 in 1 cart too for the console part of it. Just the thought of keeping up with 150 little cards, I wouldn't even bother with the trouble, I literally wouldn't even keep it if it was given to me free. eBay.
