I've been sick the past few days so I haven't had a chance to play this yet. Anyone else try it yet? Review? Thoughts?

Even though I posted about it, I haven't had time to play it myself.

My review new [Re: Gemini]
#301519 - 12/28/12 08:26 PM

I got a chance to install, configure, and play this last night.

Installs easy enough and easy to configure for a home-made cab.

While it IS a Mega Man game, it doesn't seem.....like a professionally made Megaman game which is disappointing.

The levels and enemies just seem kind of..."meh". Chun Li's stage is terribly made and seems like it was rushed, or just thrown together.

There isn't a save or password function either, so you'll need to beat the game in one sitting. Even Mega Man 2 on the NES had a password feature.

Otherwise, yeah it's Mega Man and Street Fighter characters together, but to me it just doesn't seem as awesome as this could have been....BUT it was free so there's that.

The music however is great and true to the Mega Man themes.

I've played fan-made Mega Man games that seemed better designed and put together, and while I get that this probably wasn't a priority for Capcom, it did seem to fall short of the hype.

I'd rather play Mega Man 2 or Mega Man X on SNES personally but still worth killing an hour or two with SFxMM.
