Yeah, with the KBM stuff going on recently, I jumped on the band wagon of being annoyed there's no keyboard support, so being me I sorted that out.
Will post how I did if there's interest
BTW I can play the keyboard, and I can play sons but unless I learn the song of by heart, I have to look at the keys which I can't do on KBM, so me sucking at the game isn't because I can't play.

What I'm interested in is being able to plug and play a cheap MIDI keyboard to play the Konami arcade games in mame. Are you saying that is already possible, and if so, why did Naoki need to recode it?

USB-MIDI keyboards are cheaper, Naoki didn't recode anything, and

1st: Lol, 2nd: All I did was use a combination of GlovePIE and PPJoy's Virtual Joysticks. The code is very easy to write, and works with pitch bend wheels (in theory, my keyboard has none to test with). I would love built in MAME Input support for Midi though, since my way you need to enable test mode on windows 64-bit.
Also, works with Wii Guitars on GuitarFreaks too, and if I had a set of drums to test, I could get Wii drums to work too for DrumMania, heck I use my keyboard on BeatMania too.(Or PS3/360 ones)
