That's the catch with Kickstarter. Unless you have a well known name attached to your project, or it's something interesting and unique enough to get picked up by the major blogs, it's got to be tough to hit that critical mass.

Thank God TZ and Star Trek TNG got funded, but I am surprised by the small amount of likes on their FB page compared to TPA. They definitely need some more methods of getting the name out to the masses.

Help me remember, I seem to recall a post here or on the bin about another group of photorealistic pinball recreations of famous tables by a company for Android, iOS, etc.. but I can't find it.

I think alot of the problem is with the gaming press. I've been rabidly supporting kickstarters that look like they're motivated, and a common complaint is that the gaming press has the atttitude that "Kickstarter isn't news" and won't even interview them.
I suspect the gaming press is much more motivated to cater to publishers and their advertising dollars, and all of the swag and perks that go with it, instead of actually doing journalism.
Outside of RPS, the rest of the gaming press won't bother with a article on a kickstarter unless the name on it is a fairly large label
Edit: Btw, rockpapershotgun, every Saturday morning they put up an article on PC oriented kickstarters. As long as someone emails them, and the kickstarter doesn't look like a complete dud, they get a paragraph.

[Update] Ok, looks like it was your guys, they've already funded these: http://www.pinballarcade.com/
Guess the PC versions are still coming.

The new kickstarter will be much smaller and just for timeshock only. :-)
