Vertical Screen Cabinet Woes

I've got myself a full cabinet, rigged up a spare XP pc, then started in on the software... helloooo trouble.
The cabinet has a vertical mounted screen. MAME and even XP handles this fine, but I have yet to see any other emulators do so. Has anyone else found some options for that? Atari, NES, anything? This is really putting a crimp in my plans.

Thanks! At a glance, that looks like exactly what I need.
Now, can you recommend a MESS-compatible arcade-friendly frontend to use?

you probably don't want two machines, but the only solution i could tolerate was having a vertical multi for all applicable arcade titles, and a horizontal setup for everything else. and never shall the two mix! gotta keep em separated.

Aside from the cost, this is probably the biggest thing that keeps me from building a cabinet. My current setup has two monitors, one vertical and one horizontal, so I get the best of both from a single machine.

That looks fine for a pc, but I have a full cabinet here... no mouse/keyboard, just joysticks and buttons. Hoping to keep game navigation clean (and if possible, slick).

It's been said before, and I'll say it again... MESS is a mess. Never has a piece of software had the power to make me feel so utterly stupid. If I can ever figure it out (and find an alternative compile that removes the constant OK nags), I found a front-end that others have gotten to work with it.

MESS setup works exactly like MAME, so if you can get one working you can get both working.
As far as the information screens, those patches should work unmodified on MESS of the same version as the MAME they were intended for.

I don't have a MAME cab myself (hopefully someday) However, I don't understand what's so difficult about hooking up a wireless keyboard/mouse.

The cabinet has a dedicated keyboard/mouse. However, the angle and height of the screen make working on it a bit awkward.
I'm pleased to report that I've got it sussed Thank everyone for their help! I found an older, modded build of MESS which has no nags and works a bit better; found a front-end I used ages back for an NES PC; got everything playing nicely (Atari, NES, MAME)... that is, until I redo my original joystick/button config and have to remap

this is not one of my preferred games, but as it is a Sega classic, put him in the list, i play with joystick usually up, down, left and right, but precariously...
