Thanks! It's one of my all-time faves to go to if I need a smile. ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)
In case you didn't know the background: This is a picture of members of the MIT Wearable Computing project in 1996. That's Steve Mann on the left, known essentially these days as "the father of wearable computing", (having continued since 1996 to wear different versions and upgrades) although there were many other individuals involved. There's a pic floating around of the evolution of Steve's wearables:

... and since the late 90's has evolved to become something that no doubt inspired Google's Project Glass. In fact, one of the other MIT alums (Thad Starner) is technical lead on Project Glass.
Steve's websites: http://n1nlf-1.eecg.toronto.edu/ http://www.eecg.toronto.edu/~mann/
Here's a nice article talking about the history, as well as where things currently stand: http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/26/2986317/google-project-glass-wearable-computers-disappoint-me

Awesome Stil. I looked up the source of the image a little before you posted, and read up on the concept a bit - I had imagined something much more sinister** before looking it up. The knowledge doesn't really diminish the lolness however.
Cheers.
