Hang Pilot... ...Oh, it's a NDS game, right ?
One of a kind game ! Plenty of work was/is done this summer - next MAME build will be a huge update for us. (common gamers)
I can see Raiden 2/DX is lurking somewhere behind curtains... ...at least we can play R2 on our PCs until Kale finishes it. (PC iso of this game is fully playable even on Windows 7 64 bit ! - Could this ISO be of help anyhow for understanding/emulating the arcade game ? - Maybe it is some kind of "emulated" PC port ?)

No.
The PC port was ported from the PSX version.
