Just messing around with some games I'm making for a friends kid and I tried Michael Jackson's moonwalker and I can't get it to accept coins (5). I even deleted the cfg file and tried it again and no good. I also looked on mametesters and didn't see any bug issues. I'm using mame146u5.

Confirmed - Seems to accept P3 coins but not P1 or P2 coins.

Works just fine here.
After you insert coins which gives you more time then you have to press enter which is defaulted to - key on keyboard.

Hmmm I can't get it to work. Do I need to change anything in the dip switch settings?

Yes I had to press the number 7 key to enter credits for player 3 and then to start the game hit number 3. So I guess this is a bug that player 1 and 2 doesn't work?

I didn't have to change anything. After you load said game if you press TAB and choose Input (this game) it allows you to see what keys are mapped where and it's very helpful.
I just noticed now there are 2 different MJ games and you didn't specify exactly what you have loaded. Both are working with P1 and taking credits as they should.

I'm using the rom mwalk and also using mame146u5 and player 1 and player 2 doesn't accept credits. Only player 3 works.

145u6? Do you mean 146u5? This is what I'm using in command line mame and deleted the cfg and nvram mwalk and still only player 3 works.

Okay, I'm using 0.146u5 ... romset mwalku ... deleted cfg + nvram files
If you push the zero key, it's mapped to player one's coin input.
strange ...

I tried mwalku and when I hit the zero key it inputs to player 3 just like when I hit the number 7 key both are mapped to player 3. I deleted the cfg and nvram files also. Weird. Player 1 and 2 still don't work in the clone mwalku.

You aren't helping... then again, you are rarely do help anyone. All I ever see are one-liners and puns and I for some reason your posts irritate me. Help and be serious for once or kindly head to the Loony Bin where I can't show people the door.

Confirmed. Regression 0.146u5 and will be fixed shortly. Looks to be a simple problem in not commenting lines when driver was converted causing a coin lockout.

Just change the coin chute to common and it will still work for 3 players. Or 2 or 1... All coins dropped will go to 1 main pot.

Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!

Yeah man, stop being so BAD!
(He was trying to make a joke about Michael Jackson songs. Don't pay him any mind. )
Looks like the bug has been fixed so it should be fine in the next u release, or in the new MAME.
