Looks like he's moving towards auto CHD updating. Can't wait for that feature myself. I ran a batchfile a couple of u versions ago that pretty much attempted to update every chd and screwed up my collection.
Noting CHD's that need updating and then running the appropriate CHDMAN (flags) in the background will be a glorious update!

hi Roman.
during scan and fix my romset I often get errors like "7ZIP ERROR UNSUPPORTED"
I use 7zipped romset and latest version of 7zip (9.28a), which by default uses LZMA2 compression, maybe this is causing the problem?
with what version of lzma-sdk cmpro compiled now?

1st of all, this discussion should be done on the cmpro board.
For fixing (write operations) it uses the 7z binary. For reading it uses a basic table of contents reader from a rather old sdk (which however shouldn't cause problems). Are you sure it pops up these errors while reading?

I've compilled MAME form SVN, and during scan&fix I have this:
add: moreover if I move problematic rom archives to another folder and try rebuild it from there I have the same errors. so yes, I think its read-related problem.

PM sent, just try to rebuild it. I think the same thing will be if you try to rebuild from any other 7zip archive compressed using LZMA2 method.

Well...that new 7z is in an "alpha" state and source code is not provided. Neither an up2date sdk is available...I will have a look at the latest old sdk...but actually I would stick to the official 7z until the LZMA2 default mode is working out well....

well, did some work with the latest available sdk and LZMA2 decompresses fine now
