It's a beautiful set, but chess taxes my brain enough as it is without having to figure out what the who each piece is when I'm contemplating a move. I like knights to look like a knight, and bishops to be obvious its a bishop... I hate the whole "Well, the relative height of this peice is bigger than a pawn but smaller than that piece there, so this one must be his bishop, which, snap... I thought this was MY bishop but that must be the knight I put there a few moves back, and oh fudge, that's check mate."
Except for Archon... I could deal with that.

That one's relatively straightforward: knight has hands positioned as though holding reigns, bishop has arms above head representing the mitre, etc.
