Bad taste is so ambiguous in America. One day they ban everything related to buildings on fire collapsing and next they make movies and documentaries about heroes joining the war which caused the incident in the first place.

I might have been able to over look the tasteless joke if it was actually funny.

The strip was drawn weeks before the movie theater shootings, and the gunshots refers to the ones onscreen. Not funny, but nothing to really get upset about either. People need to stop looking for things to be offended by.

Believe me, that was not a joke. A rant maybe, because even here we are fed up with that kind of national crap at Discovery/History Channel. But the truth is my reply is only that: a mere comment.
However your comment brings another weird thing about America. I was watching comedians at Comedy Central for the first time and I can't think anything else but you have a weird sense of humor nor what you should laugh at. It must be the cultural barrier for sure, probably puns I couldn't catch.

I doubt Broom Hilda has actually been funny during the last 30 years or so. Anyway, if one actually tries to read it as referring to people being shot in a theater, it doesn't even make sense.

It's not even that I found it offensive, more-over just a dick move. I could care either way, but I can totally see how family members of the victims would look at that and feel pretty shitty.
The "apology" speaks volumes as well. Dicks.
