I have just joined. I know little about computers but love arcade games. I am 45 years old and it shows. I have 2 cocktail machines 1 has 60 in 1 jamma board and the other a helicopter shootem up. the reason for joining is I won't to build a mame machine,I have a disc with 6000 games on a empty upright jamma cabinet and a pc. I have an I PAC a coin mech ( no circuit board) and it needs a screen approx 30 inch. I also have a new jamma harness and new switches. where on the site can I find a mame for dummies. cheers Gary.

You were ripped off. It's not cool to talk about how you got your ROMs here unless you dumped them from your own PCBs.

if you don't know about these things. I am here to learn. these sites assume you know what our doing and you are a dummy for not knowing. you can get roms from all over. I am sure I not be the first. you say I was ripped off but you don't help you just express your opinion. if that is all you have to say don't bother. I would like help not to be criticised. . .

If you bought a disc you were ripped off. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. If you are here to learn how to build a rom collection, you're in the wrong place, don't expect nobody being any more civil about it. Anyway, Google is your friend.

I would expect that at 45 you would have already figured the truth about our ugly society, but anyway...
there are many tutorials if you search in Google. Grog already pointed you to BYOAC, that probably is the best place to start, they have a great forum.
BYOAC= Build Your Own Arcade Controls http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade.htm
Who knows, maybe you find someone to nurse you.
