Cyber Commando-explain the controls, please?

I have been trying to figure out the controls for the game Cyber Commando (Rev CY1, Japan; NAMCO; 1994; directory name= cybrcomm.zip) but so far I have had no luck. The inputs for the 2 joysticks are listed as follows:
AD Stick X Analog
AD Stick X Dec
AD Stick X Inc
AD Stick Y Analog
AD Stick Y Dec
AD Stick Y Inc
AD Stick X 2 Analog
AD Stick X 2 Dec
AD Stick X 2 Inc
AD Stick Y 2 Analog
AD Stick Y 2 Dec
AD Stick Y 2 Inc
I have tried to bind each of these to the thumbsticks on my gamepad, but so far, it is as if the game is completely ignoring my controller input. However, I know that the controls are actually working because the "missile", "machinegun", and "view change" buttons work regardless of what I bind them/set them to. Can someone help me figure this out?

That is a tricky one -- needs two analog sticks with trigger+thumbs... Tough for most arcade cabinet setups, but would work well with a gamepad controller.
