hi,
i was looking at the cool work that is done regarding rom dump.
Does the translation from photo to bin is done manually?
If yes; Does anyone will be interested in some automation of the process like www.degate.org is doing?
I am asking about automation as i like to start coding some tool for converting photo to bin file, I think it will help others that are doing manual work.
To start i like to know if one can provide test vector ( photo in high resolution of decap + bin file ) to help me start the work.
If you have some vision on how such program should look you are welcome to email me.

Hello Dude.
This is a very difficult problem you are attempting, but with a lot of work I'm sure someone could code up a reasonable solution. I have a dataset that you might be interested in. The bits have been typed by hand, so an automated program could compare against what the humans think. It also hasn't been successfully decoded yet so it would be a useful thing to try a process like degate on.
