That game is super tough. What happened exactly? It looks like at the end of the first video the machine froze at 611 million or so? And then in the second one he only made it to 41 million.

It does roll at a billion, because when Rick Carter did his billion point run at Richie Knucklez' arcade last year, I was there when he did it. Rick had gotten some serious blisters from playing that long, but it was worth it.
Now that Elijah Hayter is a member of the Nibbler Billion Point Club, along with Tim McVey (twice), Rick Carter, Dwayne Richard (his billion point game was removed, because the board he used was acting up), and some guy from Italy, way to go.

He's Enrico Zanetti, from Legnano (near Milan).
In 1984 he was 15 years old and achieved 1,001,073,840 points in ~41h of continuous play.
In this Bar (I think  ).
The record was validated by the Italian Video "Athletics" Association (AIVA), hi-score photo taken etc.
He was even interviewed during the record by a local TV...
and apparently this long lost video footage has magically resurfaced in 2010, thanks to a director who's preparing a movie on Tim McVey's Nibbler record and got in touch with the "italian guy".
Zanetti's record is not (yet?) acknowledged by Twin Galaxies...

The photo is from an interview by the Italian magazine "Videogiochi", conducted the following year. He's into Kick Boxing now, if you google him...
