Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," "Step Brothers") is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer, "30 Rock"), the "good guy" star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing andseeing ...

It definitely looks promising. The trailer even has Q*Bert with the SC-10! And I really dig John C. Reilly's work, especially within P.T. Anderson's films.
I am MagnoliaFan. ;-)
It's weird: Back in the late-90's the '70s were worthy of being mined for future nostalgia. Now it's the '80s turn.

Combating functional illiteracy with latex-clad drama since the '80s, because old video games rule!

Trailer, for those who don't care about having Quicktime:

Love the scene at 0:54, but where is the Big Core?

The whole nostalgia thing always runs about 25 years after. I just barely remember the tail end of the 50s nostalgia craze in the late 70s, Sha Na Na and all that crap.

Heh, well I'm not so sure I want to see the movie (those videogame character jokes will get old very quick I fear) but I REALLY want to play the Fix-it-Felix Arcade game!
Here's another video showing the game attract sequence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gxa_p_tULyE
They got that Nintendo arcade game look down pat, also a nice hommage to Rampage in the intro sequence.
I can't wait to see someone offering to sell the 'roms' to this on ebay

Apart from the absurd arbitrarily of the button order. I don't see any problem. I take it you have never seen a Donkey Kong cabinet. Me neither, but this is kind of general culture here. :P

For a so-called god, your knowledge of old arcade machines is low. :P

I could flame back, but instead I admit defeat on this one.
I really should have googled the DK control panel before writing this post....
