It's nowhere close to the worst arcade game ever and is pretty typical to every other beatemup I've ever played aside from those exceptionally well done like Final Fight or Streets of Rage, and even those are tedious/repetitive. For a Chinese no-name job it's well, interesting to say the least. Haze is really smart and an incredibly good coder and hacker but his game critiquing is not always the best. So you might want to play the game for yourself or take his advice with a pound of salt.
...It is pretty unbalanced though. The last 2 characters are playable and the first 2 really aren't, you just get your ass kicked with them. The game is unpolished but that should have been obvious from first glance. Anyway I've played a lot worse, that's for sure.

Ahh, but do you love the Don Bluth art and animation, or all-quicktime-events-all-the-time gameplay? Everyone loves the former. Nobody loves the latter

The former of course, but I find Bluth's art so good, that I can actually accept the latter in a way that I still see it as good games. Of course it has a huge dose of nostalgia involved in my opinion...

It cant possibly be any worse then Knuckle Joe.That game is straight ass. ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bum.gif)
Also last night my friends were playing the MAME cab before the fight and one of the came across a Data East game in the W's that I thought would be a wild west version of Bad Dudes.Sadly I was mistaken.

Yet they've repackaged and resold it several times. I'm glad at least the IP holder allows gamers to download it on Daphne if they "prove" they have an "acceptable proof of purchase" version.
No, I don't like the quick time elements either, but I have nostalgic feelings towards the game, much like Pac Man on the 2600, except I actually like the gameplay of Pac Man on the 2600 better!

Yeah, "God of War" is popular as heck, and what is it except a lot of QTE, although QTE didn't seem to help "Need for Speed: The Run"

I have nostalgic feelings towards DL as well, but that doesnt mean I like the gameplay.DL was more a game of memory & luck then anything else.At least in Time Traveler there was a prompt.

The 'blink prompting' happens most of the time on DL, and I think it can be toggled on/off. Some machines may've had it off, though not the ones I remember seeing. Of course, sometimes the prompt didn't give you enough to go on. There are still scenes I can't figure out, and haven't been compelled to cut the line and check out gamefaq or something.

True Dat! Just a little worse than Rush n Attack - which it was obviously ripped - perhaps hacked - from.
