What is that, 10 or so?
Well, they can't sell them, because, besides being "damaged," they are potential disease vectors.
No, it really isn't sterile. Not when it actually leaves the body.

Note that the news story only says "several" computers. It does not say how many. And it says $36000 worth of damage. What is that, retail value? Wouldn't the school get a wholesale discount or something?
I have a feeling that the focus is less on the computers and more on the $36000. The computers themselves are, I would guess, a McGuffin.
I wonder if there was any important data on the computers that was lost, or if the loss is really just the hardware. Or the (theoretical) $36000.

Looking at Best Buy's site, MacBook Pros run between $1200 and $2500. Given that it's a school, I'm guessing they don't have pimped out, top of the line models, so it seems like it would be closer to 30.

I'm not a fan of Apple's products, either. But that doesn't justify property damage.

not always... urine from a circumsized male can actually be sterile, unless there is a urinary tract infection involved.
same with women if you take your sample mid-stream or part the labia with two fingers so bacteria don't wash off...

You have bacteria in your urethra.

Not much of one, if one at all. The local high school just bought 800 iPads (can't wait to pay THOSE enrollment/activity fees) got the 2 year "apple" protection plan and after the $30 (yes, thirty) discount they shelled out just over $600/ea (included some apps).

The boy did well. Apples are made to be pissed on.

you're thinking of the benificial bacteria in a vagina. There is NO bacteria in the urethra unless you have an infection.

No, I'm not.
The phrase used by people who want to be accurate (I've looked several times over the past year or so, since I had seen it mentioned somewhere) is "typically thought of as" or "generally considered" sterile. That's "generally" as in "not always" and "considered" as in "not actually."
It doesn't even matter if it were true for "healthy" individuals, as they'd need to prove to everyone in the district that it was true in this specific case.
Having not read the article, I don't even know if these items were boxed at the time. If they weren't, you've got a fluid in them that will screw up the boards and contacts.
