Well, straight women are free to "express their sexuality" in public, but if straight guys do it they're just pervs.

It probably would fail after the first year, what with the lack of good choreography and costumes.

There's lots of ways about this...but, essentially, the issue apparently is largely to do with, and exists within, Caucasian-western culture - namely, the US, Britain, and Australia.

What's funny is that regardless of religious fervor or lack of it, folk in these places tend to be insecure regarding sensuality, particularly group events.

Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.

I've never understood the "pride" part of it... new [Re: Tomu Breidah]

If you're "born this way" to quote Lady Gaga, exactly what's to be "proud" of? I was "born" Caucasian, blonde, blue eyed, heterosexual, What the frag is there to be "proud" of?

I'm not "ashamed" either, but why be proud or ashamed of what you were born with?

I'm not "proud" or "ashamed" about being born with a defective heart valve, although I'm happy I was born near a cardiologist who was able to do surgery on infants!

There's some people who think a certain level of intimacy should be private. I guess that is something that varies from culture to culture?

It's why I can't get totally into the whole LGBT scene. Granted, I do like to show my stuff. But mainly not to flaunt it all to a very large audience. I like to have fun when I can, especially on Halloween or Mardi Gras. :-)

It's when the people within any "community" become so self-righteous and egotistical they thing they're so different than everyone else that they want to cross the line and rip others off. I've personally seen that happen and that really stuck in my craw.

It's as if the "community" is welcoming to anyone and yet, if you don't abide to the internal group peer pressure and its own quirky behavior within such a clique then you're no longer "one of them". Give that a little thought and you can see how cults develop. And, no, cults don't necessarily have to be religious or spiritual (same thing, actually, for it's a synonym) to be cults. It's that persistent need for uniform behavior that one is made to embrace lest they're seen as "not pure" or "not a Real Scotsman", where questioning is seen as blasphemy.

For example, there's my politics: I consider myself too moral to be a conservative yet too courageous to be a liberal. I just don't fit into either category. And I don't mind that. I always considered myself a bit of rock & roll with a whole lotta soul. Or a conscience, if you will. :-)

Or, if you want to go deeper, I consider myself both an agnostic and an atheist: An agnostic because I'll never truly learn everything for that's my human limitation yet that doesn't stop me from learning something new about the world around me through my own explorations. Regarding that pursuit of knowledge, I'm an atheist because so far there's no logical and/or empirical evidence of some higher intelligence out there governing forever rolling set of dice known as our universe.

If there is, though, I'll change my mind. Just like with anything and everything else. If it's real then I have a reason to believe. Not real, no reason, no belief. And stuff enforced by peer pressure of whatever tribe is currently in vogue at the present doesn't count.

And boy is there a lot of knowledge passed down from generation to generation. You can find entire branches of that tree of knowledge within libraries. Check it out when you can. It's worth that bit of exploration. Heck, support your local library to keep it going. :-)

The only truly straight part about me is my trajectory within my finite lifespan from when I was born to my eventual death. But, from that straight path, there are numerous side streets to check out along the way. It's what I now find along the way that keeps me going. And I will be cruising down this highway of life for decades to come. ;-)

It's nothing to debate. It's just the way life is. And I accept it for what it is. I'll just be myself for I can't be anyone else. I am who I am.

That's my TL;DR for now.
