Maybe it's just me and the state I'm in but that "STERNENBONUS!" in the second snapshot with it's color combination has some very funky 3D hypnotic mojo going on.
Actually so do all the large bold text red on blue parts aswell as the small red bits between the reels.
It's almost like being on LSD or shrooms.

If you're on a Mac, the color temperature might not be the same as we're seeing. Here it's full-saturation magenta letters on a full-saturation cyan background and the edges of the letters almost appear to be crawling.

Ah, I see - it's trippier on my all-Dell Windows PC/monitor. The red dots have this weird shadow that isn't really there.

I assume you guys are on CRT? Not getting it on my LCD with this particular case, but I do tend to get a similar effect with one specific shade of red.
Edit: Actually, I'm getting it on the HOLD indicators at the bottom. That'd be the exact shade.

Different colours affect different people.
Some cases of dyslexia are caused by the white & black combination commonly used for printed text, in which case colour filters can help.
On my laptop I see a shadow around the dots and no crawling.
