I took out the old Dreamcast to play Shenmue 2( euro version) and as I start a new game, This error message keeps popping up.I haven't touched my Dreamcast in about 4 years now but the game used to run perfectly. Anybody exerience this problem before and anybody know how to solve it.I did everything from cleaning to game polising.The only thing I could find on the subject is disc 3 seems to have an error but, mines disc 1.Strange.................

When I start a new game it will load but when it hits the Hong Kong Now Loading screen the following error pops up:
Data Read Error -30 MPK00.PKS Any idea what that means or is?

Flashed back to my Apple 2 days ... adjusting floppy drive speed to get some disks to load. Exactly the same process - take the cover off and turn the screw a little bit and test.
I tried the screw but its not working. maybe the cd is disintagrating or something. i give up.
