ParaJVE - How to run in stretched Fullscreen Mode?
#282408 - 04/13/12 10:43 AM

How do you run the General Computer Vectrex emulator "ParaJVE" in stretched Fullscreen Mode? I understand that the real hardware used a vertical monitor. But when I'm playing a game in fullscreen mode, I want to stretch the width of the game so that it fills in the whole screen. Is this possible?

Not possible, even if it were, everything would be stretched out & fat, since its simulating a real vectrex screen, which was like a vertical arcade game. The overlays wouldnt fit either.

MESS may stretch it out fullscreen though.Im not sure,Vectrex is not one of the systems I use MESS for

It's possible with the Vectrex driver in MESS, but given the real Vectrex is 3:4 vertical it'd look really, really awful.

Or you could disable rotation and move your monitor. It helps if you have a rotating lcd monitor, but a diy solution is possible too.

The cheap solution is to lean your head to one side, but that gets uncomfortable. Or you can rotate the controls.
