Bloody Roar 2 rom freeze in intro

Does any one know why bloody roar 2 game in mame, will freeze in the intro of the game but, if you add credits to to the game just before the intro ends it will play.
any suggestions?

A work around seems to be enter Test Mode (F2), Choose 4 Configuration > 1 System > 9 Interlace - set this to OFF. Save the configuration then exit Test Mode and restart the game,
