Given that warning, and the lack of information as to the contents of the pdf, I'll not try.

Heh, just some information on earthquake history. With many, many, many details that could have simply been an image instead.

Adobe Reader makes me scream (small blessing for y'all due to my laryngitis). It's such a fu... fruit-flyin' fat & bloated sack of protoplasm HOG!!!

It makes the latest release of Windoze look like Karen Carpenter compared to Cass Elliot.

I've switched to Sumatra PDF years ago. I've been happier since. You may not tell immediately from my recent scribblings. :-)

That does take a while to render. Are you from the New Madrid fault area? I live close to St. Louis so if we ever have a big one from there, it won't be pretty!

I prefer Foxit also for my PDF reader. So much less bloat.

Rolling blackouts ensued new [Re: aavada]
#282309 - 04/12/12 06:01 PM

I tried to open the one page PDF you linked to... and at first it was doing ok, but then I got an alert that packet loss was causing some packets to overflow into the tributary domain service lines, which themselves started to backup, resulting in node switch overflow that allowed loose packets to jump from tributary lines into the main fiber-optic thouroughfare. Electrons, being negativelyly charged, flowed with the loose packets, creating a build up of negative charges in the regional transformers, which themselves allow excess voltage to bleed off into conduits which help supply California with its power, but then they blew... causing rolling blackouts.

What's in the PDF? I never got a look at it.

Yeah, I'm in Southern Illinois. Living near a fault line is like having explosives stored in the basement. Good chance nothing will ever happen but still, you'd rather it wasn't there.

It's "20 cool facts about the New Madrid seismic zone" commemorating the Bicentennial of the Dec 1811-Feb 1812 shitstorm.

So it's Enron's power utility tech crew in a file, innit? ;-)
