Service manual greatness

Actual troubleshooting flowchart in the service manual for the Sony CD changer I am fixing.
Remember this is the service that should help you fix a unit, not an owner's manual.
Turn power on.
Insert CD.
Does it play.
Yes = Unit OK.
No = remove CD and Repair unit.
Really? Someome got paid to draw up that chart and fill a page in the service manual?
I need a job like that.
