And here's more filthy PCs in the Ventblockers series (hoping for a third):

Ew... The worst I ever dealt with was in a somewhat grubby office in a ~150 year old building. The dust wasn't nearly as thick as any of those, but it had a greasy quality to it that was rather disturbing. I scrubbed to the elbows when that job was done.

On my old computer downstairs I placed some filters on the insides of the case's vents. A year later when I had to upgrade the hard drive and video card they were black from the smoke from the fireplace. But the innards were clean, though. :-)

So yes! Do get a small vac to clean out the 'puter. You can even find USB-powered ones cheap. But please don't use them while the computer is running with the case open. Unless you're into that sort of kinky thing. ;-)

Don't use a vac powered by the computer to clean the inside of the computer while the computer is powered on and has its inside accessible? Hmm....

Probably old-ass smogger resin.

Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.
