Hi there.
I would like to know if there is a way to set up my wireless XBOX 360 controller to work with M.A.M.E I have the drivers and wireless adapter for my PC and it works fine with PC games but will not register in M.A.M.E
Is there a specific thing I need to do in order to get it working with M.A.M.E? Any help is greatly appreciated. I am using mame32.
Thank You.
.Sandro.

Are you really using MAME32, or is it MAMEUI? What's the version?

I have never had a problem with my wireless 360 controller, if it works under windows, it tends to work with MAME, Mame32 or MameUI. I have used it with XP, Win7 and Win8 over the years. I think the hardest was setting the sticks to work with Robotron, but that setup is really hard on your thumbs with Crazy Climber.

Try with the official 145 binary from mamedev.org and it should work.
Extract into a fresh directory and execute mame64 -cc to create a fresh mame.ini

I wouldn't recommend that because those unofficial builds can introduce bugs or game crashes anytime during gameplay that doesn't happen with official binary.
Have you had a look at Front Ends QMC2 or GameEX?
I feel they are much better than anything else out there and you get all the benefits of using the official binary with them.
You also can simply double click mame64.exe and type some of the letter of game you wish to play and it will work if paths/options are set in your mame.ini correctly

I will definitely check out those Front-Ends but for me thus far the best running version was MAME32FX but has now been MAMEeXTended due to it's 64bit version(which for me has a large speed boost). Anyhow I will give it a try. Thank you for your help.

What would you honestly recommend? QMC2 or GameEX? QMC2 Looks more like what I am use to but GameEX looks very simple yet powerful and is more pleasing to the eye. It also seems to be easier to set up(though simplicity is not always a good thing), don't like that it costs $17 for what I am assuming to be better than the free version. You think I should go with GameEX or QMC2?
