I would think that the emulator's official forum would know better than us

I will preface this by saying that I an EXTREMELY grateful for what El Semi has given Sega fans....an emulator that allows us to play all of our favorite Model 2 games. I cannot thank you enough!!! Muchos Gracias Hombre!!!!!
Now, with that having been said, given what I've read over the past couple months, yes it's safe to say he has moved on and because of his commitments to Sega, it's highly unlikely we will see any further updates for Model 2 Emu. Am I sad about this news? You bet your ass I am! Am I happy for El Semi and realize that this is life? Absolutely.
I wish nothing but the best for ES, but what disappoints more than the emu itself being put on hold, is the way in which the news came out, and quite frankly, El Semi's lack of communication to his fans on his own message board. It would have been nice to get a simple post from him along the lines of "Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that it is with regret that I must put the Model 2 emu on hold indefinitely, because now I am working at Sega and will be really busy. Thank you to all my fans and I appreciate your support.".
Anything along those lines would have been much appreciated. Instead we had to get this information second hand from Wesker, and ES hasn't posted in the forums in over a year. I realize El Semi owes us absolutely nothing whatsoever, but just a little more communication about what is happening with the Model 2 emu and its fate, would have been welcomed.
But that is just nitpicking and really isn't a big deal. I am really hoping he will pass the project over to someone who may be inclined to finish where he left off. There are several things that need further improvement. Daytona USA's sound being one of them, plus various issues with Sega Rally that still have not been resolved. Also the emu's interface crashes if you have more than three USB devices connected and proceed to try and set up your analog controllers and calibrate them.
This is the reason why I wish MAME had both A)Force feedback support and B)GPU hardware acceleration support. It would certainly make these games playable and as enjoyable in mame as they are in Model 2 emu.
Hopefully some day.

i could make a big post of my thoughts with this subject, but in general lines, i think sega wanted to control elsemi and prevent further emulation of their arcade hardware.

No, it's far more likely that they hired him to assist with recent console releases like Daytona USA and Sega Rally. If Sega is like nearly any other company out there, they've probably lost a lot of the documentation on the hardware and software over the years. (Capcom actually lost literally all development documentation for the five GB Mega Man titles!)
