A fan made sequel to Space Quest called Space Quest Incinerations continues the legend of Sierra Online’s hit adventure game. A point and click adventure that keeps true to the original series humor and puzzle solving.
I've been having a lot of fun the past few days playing this one, and I have to admit that some of the puzzles are pretty tough, but sometimes dying in Space Quest is part of the fun.
It's FREE and worth checking out if you enjoyed Space Quest.
Incidentally, playing Space Quest 1 as a kid taught me to type, since you had to be quick with the typed in commands to survive.
Man, I haven't seen a 5 1/4 floppy or had a drive to read them in a long time.
I remember having a Space Quest, it must have been 5 or 6, that came on like a dozen 3 1/2 floppies. As I recall, you had the option to install to the hard drive, but I couldn't spare the room on my 40MB drive.
Playing from the floppies was agony. Almost every new screen you'd have to swap the disk, then sit there while the drive went *brap* *brap* *brap*. I almost went crazy trying to play it, practically beating my head against the desk to alleviate the frustration. I literally spent longer staring at the loading screen than I did actually playing the game.
