Blinky! new [Re: italie]

Denver had a local celebrity with Blinky The Clown. I grew up watching him on TV when I was young and some of my friends ended up on his show several times in the Birthday Corner. He's a beloved figure in Denver.

I always loved his closing line "Bye bye for now, we'll see you tomorrow at the same time, and in the meantime, please stay out of the streets!"

No Way!

We had this guy back in the 80's. He was on the local ABC affiliate.

It makes me wonder if there were other 'redheaded, derby wearing hobo clowns' in other cities.

I was on Bozo once when I was a single-digit age. The light to pick the kid for the buckets stopped on the one right behind me...

Video (with a 'bin twist) for those who did not grow up on Bozo:

I was on a Halloween episode, cousin got picked to play the buckets. I wonder if I still have the tape.

/csb time

I was on Arsenio Hall once. The musical guest was Technotronic. During the commercial break before they come on to perform, he 's standing in the aisle right next to me, hands me their LP, asks me "can you hold this for a second?" After break, he grabs it back, introduces the group, then hands me back the album as a souveneir and shakes my hand. I've still got it up in the closet.

The whole time, I'm staring up at him with a "golly gee" look on my face. And dude's got BIG hands, bigger than mine even.

I've got a DVD of the show somewhere; I'll have to rip the clip (for posterity's sake and such).

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.
